Old Hall Peoples Partnership
"Committed to making a difference"
Bentley Community Library
Bentley has been without a Public Library for nine years. Old Hall Peoples Partnership are pleased to say that we will be opening a brand new Community Library facility at our Wing Close Centre, the setting up of the Library has been funded by Walsall Council. This came about when government cut council budgets and there was no funding available to build the new library on the site of the original one, and no budgets to run the library. After public consultation a cabinet decision was made to set aside funds in order to purchase equipment and books for this new initiative, we as a local charity have agreed to pick up the future running costs of the library, and are very pleased with the support of local residents who have undergone training in order to volunteer in the day to day running of the community library.
